About Us
In 1991, several small independent electical contractors in Las Cruces, NM joined to form the Las Cruces/Don Ana chpater of the Independent Electrical Contractors which later became Southern New Mexico IEC. The purpose of the organization is:

to promote the common business interest of the electrical contracting industry

to facilitate education and training of those in the industry

to engage in promoting the services of the electrical contracting industry to the various segments of the construction industry and to the general public

We are dedicated to the success and advancement of our merit shop members and the independent electrical and systems contracting industry.
About IEC National
Founded in 1957, the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) is a national trade association for merit shop electrical contractors. IEC has 50+ chapters across the country which represent over 4,000 member companies and trains over 14,000 apprentices each year. Its mission is to develop and foster a stronger economy through the level of quality and services its members provide to the industry.
