Membership in SNMIEC is open to licensed electrical and systems contractors who are engaged in the industry and practice the "Open Shop" philosophy in the area served by this Chapter. SNMIEC APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
SNMIEC’S registered Apprenticeship Program is approved by the State Apprentice Council in New Mexico.
Member contractors are eligible to participate in the program. Apprenticeship training provides a knowledgeable and well trained work force, ready to meet the challenge of a demanding industry.

SPECIAL EVENTS
SNMIEC provides opportunities for celebrations and social events for our members.
The annual Apprenticeship Graduation in June each year draws over 300 guests and industry partners together to celebrate the successful completion of the program by the graduating apprentices.
- IEC’s Annual Convention and Electric Expo provides a great opportunity to network with other professional contractors, manufacturers and distributors.

IEC publishes IEC INSIGHTS, a national trade magazine that keeps electricians up to date on industry news and trends. Subscription is included in your membership.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
The electrical industry is a cohesive one because of the partnerships which have developed throughout the years between manufacturers, distributors, service providers and contractors.
Associate members are industry partners who are interested in the electrical industry and support the work of SNMIEC. These partners are eligible for a non-voting membership. Interested applicants will complete the Associate Member application and upon approval by the Board of Directors, are granted membership with the following benefits.
